Would you like a cup of tea ? Asahikawa's tea houses !

Our reporter was interested in the big building in front of which, you can see two big traffic light objects. This is the first store in Hokkaido calling itself "tea specialty store”. In this article, we will present you three tea houses in Asahikawa. Spring is coming, it’s time to get out have tea with friends!

The inside of the store was a spacious and calm.
Hama-chan got to be seated by the window.
Since it’s her first time in this shop, she was fidgeting with excitement when she looked at the menu.

The scones looked delicious, but after hesitating for a while she chose to order two sandwiches. ♪

The staff advised our reporter to wait 3 minutes before drinking her tea when he brought the tea kettle with a cute cover. Our writer did as the staff said, she small talked with friends for a few minutes before pouring the tea in her cup. The kettle contained about 2 and a half cups. With this amount of tea, our writer stayed longer in the cafe than she first intended to.

Our reporter chose the “Lapsang” set, since it got the shop’s name, it got to be their speciality.
For your included drink, you can also choose between coffee or “Lapsang".
The sandwich served on a nice tablecloth was tasty. ♪

Next to the cashier, various types of black tea were lined up. But since our writer isn’t that knowledgable about black tea, she wants to learn more about tea before coming for a second time.

Coffee lovers too, won’t you like to have a cup of tea from time to time.

The tea House had a cozy Showa Era (1926–1989) like atmosphere.

Formerly located on the 4th floor of Seibu Building BI, it was a fun tea shop.
This is our reporter’s first visit since it moved.

Our writer bought two original blend herbal teas at the tea house.
"Lady's Melancholy" with rosemary and "Hanakacha" which is said to be popular with women.

Our reporter ordered the cut roasted apples featured in the showcase.
The roasted apple alone costed 650 yen, and 950 yen with a drink set. ♪

This time, Hama-chan ordered the apples to takeout but next time she will definitely buy the drink set.

LUPICIA AEON MALL - Asahikawa Nishi

Hama-chan became a fan of Lupicia since she drank their rose bud tea.
Called "bouquet de flora rose tea”, it was a tea made by Lupicia with the collaboration of Shogo Kariyazaki. (A famous floral artist)

A tea was also created to commemorate the relocation of the main store in Niseko.
And they called it.....

“Niseko”!

Yes, they are... pretty straight with their naming.

The display said, “Having a pleasant aftertaste, this tea is made by our chef to go well with any meal.”
Feel free to try it out when you stop by Hokkaido.

This time our writer bought a spring-limited "Spring Tea 15 Bag Set".
It comes in handy when you don't have the time to pour yourself a cup of tea.
Lupicia tea bags are triangular to spread well the tea leaves' aromas. ♪

Hama-chan drank all the tea that was contained in the can but here is a picture of the tea from 2011.11 we spoke about earlier. Shogo Kariyazaki’s sign is also written on it!

If you become a Lupicia club member, you get 2 types of tea every 6 months and a tea information magazine for 6 months.

It's an exciting spring is coming ! Let’s enjoy it together !
