Ashibetsu Hot Bath Cafe Seiyukan
One hour by car from Asahikawa, a new hot spring opened at the Starlight Hotel in Ashibetsu City at the end of December 2019.
« Hot Bath Cafe Seiyukan » is a brand new concept of hot spring that offers bath and relaxation.
When our reporter got off his car, in the parking lot, it smelled like sulfur.
The hot spring’s water is only made of the source’s natural water. The source spouts 600 liters of water per minute this is why the source water isn’t diluted with regular water.
However, since the source water is only 10 degrees celsius, so it needs to be heated.
After going past the hotel’s reception and until the hot spring entrance, our reporter came across so many fluffy carpet equipped rest rooms.
Furnitures like cushions, low tables, outdoor chairs, bonfires, and places like hideaways are spread everywhere and wakes up the little kid hiding inside everyone.
Even if you’re just looking around it will surely put a smile on your face.
There is also a space in the back with outlets.
Since there is WiFi in the building, it can be used as a workspace.
And there is of course, a lot of playgrounds that children are likely to enjoy.
The hot spring's water is a little thick but feel smooth on the skin.
In addition to the indoor bath, sauna and salt sauna, there is also a mud pack corner.
Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, cleansing and face wash were also provided.
Our reporter heard that, at the night, the open-air bath projects stars.
The star-falling village Ashibetsu☆
The night must be really beautiful!

There is also a hot spring in the neighbouring town of Fukagawa.
"Aguri Kobo Maabu" is a hot spring with a hands-on workshop.
There are 6 cottages in the vicinity, so you can stay overnight if needed.
Overnight guests can enter the hot springs as much as they want.
The hot spring building is large and equipped with a restaurant.

Let’s go for a drive to the hot springs!
After about 1 hour drive from Asahikawa city, our reporter, Mami, went on a hot springs tour to refresh herself. Which hot spring was your favorite ? The playful bath cafe ? The open-air Aguri Kobo Maabu ? Or the healing Mori no Ryotei Biei ?
Our body does so much for us, it might be good to relax and take a break from time to time in those all-natural hot springs.
