Ichikyu Daifukudo Asahikawa Airport
There are two shops in Asahikawa airport where you can eat soft ice cream.
One of them is a Japanese sweets shop "Ichikyu Daifukudo" in a food court named "Soraichi".
Our writer heard that they have melon soft serve, so she went there.
The popular strawberry daifuku (strawberry and red bean paste mochi) was also lined up.
They are also selling dango too!
Some of Asahikawa’s popular sweets and specialities are sold here too.
Moreover, if the strawberry daifuku is sold out in the main shop located in Asahikawa, you can buy it here !
Three soft-serve ice cream flavours are available:
Hokkaido milk flavour
Yubari melon flavour
Melon and milk mixed flavour
They are all at 330 yen (tax included).
Since our writer could not choose between melon and milk, he chose both !
It's rich, milky and delicious!
Our reporter loves melon, but you don’t often find melon flavoured soft-serve ice cream so he was delighted.

Milk Stand Esperio
As we said earlier, there is another place where you can get soft-serve ice cream in Asahikawa airport.
And this is Milk Stand Esperio.
You can find it in the middle of the first floor.
The Okoppe milk soft serve ice cream from "North Plain Farm" in Monbetsu is very rich.
Mini sized soft serve ice creams are available in cups. It’s perfect for when you don’t feel like eating too much but still want to eat a little something.
Our writer wondered what kind of taste have the coffee jelly soft serve. But this is for a next time !

Tamura Farm Clover
Tamura Farm is located at the opposite side of the airport entrance.
It specialises in fresh gelato and soft-serve ice cream made from the milk delivered from the nearby farm every morning.
Sometimes, you can even see the cows grazing from here!
The flavours of the gelato change according to the season and the harvestable ingredients.
This is why this shop has many regulars coming every time new flavours are out.
The standard flavours are milk, chocolate, green tea, sesame, cookie and rum raisin.
The seasonal menu includes mango, raspberry, melon, apple, blood orange, chestnut, strawberry and more.
The gelatos here are fresh and full of flavour.
It's always hard to decide between all the different flavours.
This time, our reporter, Mami, ordered a spring seasonal mix:
Mugwort and Sakura.
The natural colours were beautiful.
After taking some pictures of her dessert, our writer ate her gelato.
There are also tables and benches inside and outside the shop.
On sunny days we recommend you to eat outside, while peacefully enjoying the landscape mainly made of the Asahidake Mountain and the grazing cows.
This is the best !
